Ocean Divers International (ODI) was established in Port Elizabeth, South Africa during 1982 as a SCUBA Dive Training and Equipment retailer. Over the past 30 years, we have trained thousands of sport divers and many dive professionals; most of them are still considered to be industry leaders today.

Our “One Stop Dive Shop” philosophy put all your diving needs under one roof. Our facilities offer an indoor heated pool, clean ablutions, indoor and outdoor showers; ample safe parking, a modern Clean Air Station and fully stocked Equipment room for gear rentals. To remain up to date with the latest developments in safety and technology, we replace our rental equipment every year.

From the moment you walk in you will feel accepted as an important part of the ODI family! We are known for our values, our flawless safety record and we strive to offer the best possible products (Mares, PADI, Reef, Poseidon and Tusa) at the lowest possible prices while setting new trends with innovative “dive as much as you like products”.

As a certified five star PADI Diving Centre we offer courses from beginner to instructor. Your training options also include many specialities ranging from skin diver to re-breathers. Our students include children from 10 years of age to the adventurous golden oldies exceeding 65 years. Flexible course programs are available to cater for your busy schedule.

Our charter clients may be a little spoilt. Our novel “We drive You dive” concept transports you to and from the different launch sites from our Walmer Training Centre. We use our Bubble Bus and our two 8 meter Super Ducks to get you to the many dive sites we frequent. We use the Port Elizabeth Deep Sea Angling Club to launch our dives to the Riybanks, Evans peak and the Algoa Bay. The Noordhoek Skiboat Club serves as launch for all the Wildside dives. Both these Clubs have wonderful facilities (including meals and drink) and our ODI customers are invited to frequent and use them.
